A Digital Force Gauge (additionally force gage) is a small measuring tool used across all industries to measure the force during a push or pull evaluation. Software exist in research and development, laboratory, quality, manufacturing and field environment. There are two kinds of force gauges today: mechanical and digital force gauges. An electronic force gauge is basically a handheld instrument which includes a load cell, electronic component, applications and a screen. A load cell is a digital device that is used to convert a drive to an electrical signal. Throughout a mechanical structure, the force being sensed deforms a strain gauge. The pressure gauge converts the deformation (strain) to electrical signals. The applications and electronic equipment of the force gauge convert the voltage of the load cell into a force value that is displayed on the device. Test units of force measurements are most commonly newtons or pounds. The peak force is the most frequent result in force testing applications. It is used to determine whether a part is great or not. A few examples of force dimension: door latch, caliber of spring, cable testing, strength ... but more complex tests can be carried out like peeling, friction, texture. Imada provides both mechanical and digital force gauges capable of the exact measurements necessary to ascertain the quality, potency or functionality of a product or part. Imada force gauges measure both compression and tension (pull or push) forces. Mechanical Force Gauges Imada mechanical force gauges measure force in real time or peak modes, do not need batteries or charging and are intrinsically safe in hazardous environments. Low capability gauges measure around 150 lbf and high capacity versions up to 500 lbf. The streamlined model fits into confined spaces and steps force up to 50 lbf. The all metal construction enables them to retain their calibration for years with proper care. Each gauge comes in a tough plastic carrying case with a selection of attachments. Digital Force Gauges Imada digital force gauges have selectable units, programmable high/low setpoints and output or continuous data for set by optional data acquisition software in USB, RS232, Digimatic and analog formats. Imada low capacity digital gauges measure ranges up to 220 lbf, higher capacity gauges measure up to 1,100 lbf and our force gauge with remote sensor measures up to 4,400 lbf. Each kit includes a choice of attachments and a hard plastic carrying case. Torque Gauges Torque Tester are designed for clockwise and counter-clockwise torque testing. The Jacob's chuck is a versatile attachment and can be used for a variety of applications. Imada, Inc. provides durable, accurate and precise strength, hardness, torque and force measurement instruments and related force measurement type gear to many different industries -- aerospace, automotive, medical, electronics, food and beverage, packaging, construction equipment, etc..
